Program Information

Little Buds Art & Nature Program is an outdoor, half-day enrichment program designed for curious young artists ages 3 through 6. Young artists experience art and nature through hands-on play and exploration of the Park. Activities includes seasonal art projects, trail walks, creek exploration, loose parts play, building structures, reading, group games, and sketchbook time. Note: Young artists must be able to independently use the restroom to register.

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m. noon
Check-in: 8:30 a.m. 9 a.m.
$300/artist/month; $250/sibling/month* + third party processing fees

Registration is ongoing; artists may join at the start of any month from September through May. The program includes seasonal family field trips, Art Walks and parties. No class: November 5; November 26 - 28; December 24 - January 2; March 18 - 20; May 8. You may register for all sessions at once, or register monthly. Note: There is a minimum enrollment of three artists by the week prior to the session beginning for the program to run. 

*The monthly fee includes all artmaking materials. A packing list of personal items will be noted in the Little Buds Family Handbook, which will be emailed to you after we’ve received your registration. To register a sibling, please contact us for a discount code.

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am-noon, from September 3rd - September 27th. Family Art Walk: September 26th.

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am-noon, from October 1st - October 31st. Family Art Walk: October 24th. Family field trip days: October 29th and October 31st.

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am-noon, from November 5th - November 28th. Family Art Walk: November 21st. No class: November 5th, November 26th, and November 28th. Families will receive complementary tickets to attend Laumeier's annual After Dark event.

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am-noon, from December 3rd - December 31st. Family Art Walk: December 19th. No class: December 24th, 26th, and 31th.

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am-noon, from January 2nd - January 30th. Family Art Walk: January 30th. No class: January 2nd.

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am-noon, from February 4th - February 27th. Family Art Walk: February 27th.

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am-noon, from March 4th - March 27th. Family Art Walk: March 13th. No class: March 18th and 20th.

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am-noon, from April 1st - April 29th. Family Art Walk: April 29th.

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am-noon, from May 1st - May 29th. Family Art Walk: May 22nd. No class: May 8th, May 27th, and May 29th. Families will receive complementary tickets to attend Laumeier's annual Art Fair event.

Young Artist's Health Information

We welcome all learners. If your young artist requires special accommodations, please email Elsie Tuttle, Learning & Engagement Specialist, at [email protected] to discuss their needs. 


We require written permission to allow medications on site, and for staff to help administer those medications. We highly encourage caregivers to administer medications when schedules allow. You will be contacted by staff if any unauthorized medications are found on site. You are responsible for contacting us with any changes to your registration form after it has been submitted.

Check-Out Authorization

Please list additional people authorized to check out your young artist.  Anyone listed as a caregiver or emergency contact will automatically be included on the authorization list.  


Waivers


  • I authorize Laumeier Sculpture Park and its program partners to use photos of me and my child(ren) in the routine promotion of its programs.

  • I do not authorize Laumeier Sculpture Park and its program partners to use photos of me and my child(ren) in the routine promotion of its programs.


I understand that Laumeier Sculpture Park will institute emergency care should the need arise. I waive my right to make a legal claim against either Laumeier Sculpture Park or St. Louis County for any physical injury that could occur during normal program activities or if any program participant becomes ill. I agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Laumeier and St. Louis County from any and all claims, liabilities and damages that could be asserted by any person relating to my child's participation.
